Studio Bjør is built around a simple idea: the person drawing the plans should be the person on the ladder. After 12 years working across Miami — from Brickell penthouses to Coconut Grove bungalows — we've learned that the difference between a good room and an unforgettable one comes down to lighting, material, and attention to what everyone else overlooks.

Lighting design

Ambient, accent, and task lighting conceived as a system. LED installations, smart home integration, fixture sourcing, and full electrical installation. We design the light before we touch a single wire.

Our approach

Light as the first material

Lighting isn't an afterthought at Studio Bjør — it's the first design decision. We treat light the way an architect treats structure: it determines how everything else reads. A room without considered light is a room that never quite lands.

Shou sugi ban & natural materials

We work with charred timber, live edge wood, and raw materials that age beautifully. Yakisugi — the ancient Japanese art of charring wood — is central to our material vocabulary. If you've seen it and wanted it in your home, we know how to do it right.

Scandinavian restraint, Miami warmth

A design point of view shaped by Scandinavian minimalism, Japanese material philosophy, and 12 years of working in South Florida light. Specific enough to be recognizable. Flexible enough to serve any space.

Benjamin Jorgens · Studio Bjør

Benjamin Jorgens has been working in Miami homes and spaces since 2012. What started as precision handyman work — the kind that requires knowing what looks right, not just what's level — grew into a full design and build practice covering lighting, custom furniture, and complete interior projects.

A background in visual merchandising at Apple, hardware engineering, and over a decade of lighting and furniture work have produced a particular kind of fluency: the ability to see a space, understand what it needs, and build it.

Studio Bjør is small by design. Every project gets Benjamin's full attention, from the first consultation to the final adjustment. The aesthetic draws from Scandinavian restraint and Japanese material philosophy — refined, warm, and deeply considered.
